Description

Easy-to-install LinkUp gateway modules replace the original wiring, providing power to both the LinkUp device and sensor from the NMEA 2000 backbone while remaining compliant with NMEA 2000 certification. Thanks to the passive wireless receiver, setup is a snap using your mobile device and the LinkUp Configurator app available for Android and iOS devices. Sensor parameters are configured based on type, instance and alert threshold on the mobile device and then connected to the LinkUp device for immediate data download. Before describing the different versions of LinkUp, we would like to highlight the fact that this device saves money compared to an oversized NMEA 2000 converter. Reduces wiring, as the complete device consists of 3 parts: a 30cm wire cable with a standard 5-pin M12 connector, the LinkUp device itself containing the device electronics, notification LED, wireless interface for programming the device and NMEA 2000 side wiring, which is the output of all LinkUp variants and finally a sensor side cable - including wires is approx. 50cm long when unrolled. The other advantages of this equipment are contactless setup with your smartphone, no need to spend money on expensive HW/installation where needed and no additional power supply as the LinkUp is powered by NMEA. Last but not least, thanks to its airtight housing, the device can be installed in the engine compartment according to ISO 8846:1990 (protection against ignition of surrounding flammable gases).
