Ronstan model ORBIT series 55 fiddle block. Kilogram for kilogram of workload, BB and RT Orbit Blocks™ are the lightest in the world. The unique orbital design allows the bearing to be located only in the active areas of the floating pulley. This minimizes the mass of the idle return stroke and hub. Weight and bulk are further reduced in the different block configurations. The ball bearing block and spout block has a through spout arrangement. The result? The lowest possible weight. The multi-pulley blocks have only single intermediate cheeks and an ultra-light, efficient head arrangement. This offers a 30% weight saving advantage over the closest competitor. Other brands simply connect their individual blocks. This results in unnecessary double cheeks between each pulley, held together by a heavy steel channel across the top of the block. Highest working load in its class The orbital arrangement of ball bearings offers the largest possible bearing race diameter. This maximizes load performance. The proven Ronstan 2-stage bearing system features high compression grade acetal ball bearings and a secondary full contact bearing. This provides minimal friction across the entire workload range. The floating pulley and bearing system are supported by a fiber-reinforced load frame. The design was computer modeled to optimize stress. The Dyneema® Link is manufactured from FSE Robline SK75 fiber, which is 10 times stronger and lighter than steel, and provides the final connection from the block to the load point. Violin Block Flexibility Becket Violin Blocks use a Dyneema® Link attachment for sheet termination and are suitable for both spliced and unspliced lines. If you need an additional purchase, a take-off becket can simply be added to any fiddle block version by simply adding a Dyneema® Link.
